The Third Edition of the Science with a Future Competition is Announced!

America for Bulgaria Foundation is launching the second edition of its Science with a Future Request for Proposals (RFP). With the third edition of the Science with a Future competition, America for Bulgaria Foundation is looking for project proposals from researchers, scientists and engineers between the ages of 16 and 40. All proposals need to be of applied ideas in the fields of biotechnology, artificial intelligence and smart technologies that solve existing problems and have the potential to be implemented in practice. The competition's main aim is to encourage and stimulate the early-stage development of their developments and products.

The approved projects will receive between 5 000 BGN and 25 000 BGN in funding.

Partners of the Foundation for the RFP are the Beautiful Science Foundation, Sofia Tech Park, Center for Applied Studies and Innovation, the Professional Association of Robotics and Automation, AI Cluster Bulgaria, the Health and Life Sciences Cluster Bulgaria and the European Software Institute – Center Eastern Europe.

Questions related to the RFP and requirements can be discussed on the explanatory webinar with questions and answers regarding the Science with a Future competition, which will be held on April 6, 2023, from 10:30 EST. During the explanatory webinar, you can ask your questions in real-time. The webinar hosts will answer the most frequently asked questions and further clarify the application process.The webinar will be hosted by Violeta Nedeva, Program Director for Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology at America for Bulgaria Foundation, and Ivaylo Slavov, President of the Beautiful Science Foundation, partners in the competition.
