ESI Center Bulgaria has got the spirit of tomorrow, Bilisim, 5 – 10 September, 2006

European Software Institute - Center Bulgaria has participated with its own booth for the first time in CeBIT Eurasia Bilisim. The largest technological exhibition in the region took place in Istanbul.

ESI Center Bulgaria has made a presentation - “Software Process Improvement – Roadmap to Maturity” to introduce CMMI and IT Mark – universally acknowledged methodologies and software engineering standards.

“Turkey highly estimates the quality strategies - three Turkish software companies are already certified on CMMI”, said George Sharkov, ESI Center’s director.

The CMMI methodology requires great investments, difficult for small enterprises, which also aim at high quality of their IT systems and products. Within the Innovation sector, ESI Center Bulgaria presented the solution- IT Mark – a quality seal for micro and small enterprises of ESI Centers Alliance.

ESI Center Bulgaria has also introduced the Public Private Partnership Model that proves to be useful in the field of Information Technologies. ESI Center itself is an example of successful PPP project. Turkish, Iranian, Pakistani and Dubai exhibitors showed interest to start similar initiatives.

ESI Center Bulgaria, BASSCOM and the Turkish IT Association agreed to build together the image of the region as high technology software and IT center.

Over 950 exhibitors got together in Istanbul under the motto “get the spirit of tomorrow”. They presented their companies in ten pavilions, disposed on 60 000 square meters area. The three main accents of the exhibition were Business World, Telecommunications and Digital Life.
