Tirana Regional B2B IT Event (18 May 2012)

The Regional IT B2B Event, which is organized by USAID funded Regional Competitiveness Initiative (RCI) implemented by SEGURA Partners LLC in partnership with the Albanian IT Association - AITA and the USAID Rritje Project. ESI CEE will be taking part in the event discussions and presentations. The Regional IT Event has as a goal to increase awareness, to cover important problems and issues, related to the ICT sector and the regional partnership suggest ideas and find solutions. It will discuss the latest global and regional trends in the ICT sector and will promote cross-border partnership and collaboration by presenting companies, willing to share their experience. 

Among the most important topics, which will be covered in the event, will be:
•    Why standards and certifications are important for your regional and global competitiveness?
•    Successful eSolutions from the Region (IT solutions for other sectors, eGovernment, eServices, etc.)
•    Centers of Innovation and Excellence – regional Round Table discussion 

There will be key speakers and representatives from the government of Albania, USAID Albania, the AITA President – Dritan Mezini, as well as ICT related organizations and regional partners.

One immediate meeting is with BATI-BINOM an innovation center from Turkey. Representatives from the innovation center are willing to arrange one-to-one meetings with potential partners and discuss possibilities for cooperation. In international plan, BATI-BINOM aims to:
•    Increase innovation performance through cooperation with international partners;
•    Create an attractive environment for the region to be a preferred choice for international collaboration and enable international access to the regional power in technology and resources;
•    Attract multinational investments to the region and share technology and services by integrating with international centers and clusters;
