ESI Centers’ Managing Director George Sharkov was invited to deliver a two-hour workshop on Software Process Improvement – a Roadmap to Maturity in Rijeka, Croatia. More than 20 people took the challenge and attended the workshop the early Friday afternoon in the City hall building. They were presenting 5 IT intensive companies, two universities, two Governmental agencies and the USAID program.

ESI Center Bulgaria began its 2007 regional activity with the “Software Process Improvement – Roadmap to Maturity” seminar in Republic of Moldova.

24 participants from 16 organizations attended the event. They were mainly presenting leading IT companies like Endava, Deeplace, AlfaXP, Soft Com, Rit Labs, Allied Testing, Intexnauca and more. Representatives of the local donor programs in the field of ICT also took part in the seminar.


Bulgaria takes its place on CMMI maturity map

ESI Center Bulgaria and the software company Multiprocessor Systems <A title="MPS" href="http://www.mps.bg/" target=_blank>MPS</A> have put Southeastern Europe on the CMMI map of software maturity. MPS is the first in the Region that has obtained CMMI, SCAMPI A certificate after the appraisal completed on Nov 23, 2006 and published on <A title="SEI official site" href="http://sas.sei.cmu.edu/pars/pars.aspx" target=_blank>SEI official site</A>.

European Software Institute Center Bulgaria organized the “Introduction to CMMI” course, version 1.2 Staged and Continuous Representation, in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is an official Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Carnegie Mellon University course. The three days event took place from 18th to 20th December. Twelve participants, presenting six companies from Armenia and Bulgaria, have attended the course.
